About the invited artist:

Raghav Chatterjee is a great prospect for Bengali music.
Initiated into music by his mother Smt Shila Chatterjee, Raghav trained under
Dr. Amiya Ranjan Bandyopadhyay before joining ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 1993 as
a general class student. In August 1996 he became a scholar under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty.
A finalist of the Pandit Ravi Kichlu Golden Talent Contest 1994, he not only enriched Bengali modern songs in Bengal’s own style but added something more,
being a torchbearer working on Fusion Music. His melodious voice with a strong Hindusthani
classical base intermingles the flavors of West. His Bengali hits ‘Tomar katha bhebe amar’ and
‘Chand keno asena’ are popular numbers in Kolkata’s F.M. channels. He made his mark in
Bollywood with the theme song of the movie Devdas.
